Nicole Dugan is an Education Specialist at VFIS with an extensive background in Emergency Medical Services dating back to 1997 when she became an Emergency Medical Technician. Nicole is a Nationally Registered Paramedic graduating from the Reading Paramedic Institute in 2007.  Nicole has worked not only as a prehospital provider but also as an educator of Emergency Medical Services. Nicole has an Associate’s Degree in Allied Health from Harrisburg Area Community College where she was also an instructor for their emergency services program.

In addition to her Paramedic certification she also holds certifications in EMSVO, PA EMS instructor, NAEMSE Instructor, American Heart Association CPR, ACLS, PALS instructor, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, International Trauma Life Support, Tactical Emergency Medical Practitioner, National Academy of Ambulance Compliance Ambulance Documentation Specialist, National EMS Management Association FTEP, She is a test evaluator for Nation Registry of EMT’s and she is a Peer support team member for the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation Inc.

Nicole is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. Nicole is inspired daily by her husband who is also a Paramedic and Chief of their local volunteer fire department.  In her free time, Nicole likes to travel collect house plants, crochet and hang out with her family.
