This recommended practice provides guidance to enforcement officials for the field application of an open flame to textiles and films that have been in use in the field or for which reliable laboratory data are not available. 1.1.2 There is no known correlation between this recommended practice and NFPA 701, Standard Methods of Fire Tests for Flame Propagation of Textiles and Films, or full-scale fire behavior.
