These requirements shall apply to public or private organizations utilizing fire apparatus. The standard identifies the systems and items to be inspected, frequency of servicing and maintenance, and requirements for testing. This standard is not intended to supersede any instructions, specifications, or practices defined or required by the fire apparatus manufacturer, component manufacturer, equipment manufacturer, or the authority having jurisdiction.
