It’s important to continue to remind officers and firefighters of the need to be seated and belted when an emergency vehicle is in motion.

Each year, line of duty injuries and deaths occur because personnel are not seated and/or not belted. When the vehicle is in motion, it’s possible that responders come into contact with equipment, the inside of the vehicle or, in the event of a crash, become ejected from the vehicle.
