Chris’ primary role is performing risk control surveys for VFIS which provides insurance coverage to emergency service organizations across the United States. Also, he is involved in the production of the Don’t Risk It! Podcast produced by VFIS. His roles include host of the program and editing of the episodes.

Chris has worked in loss control since 2003. Over his career, he has worked for four companies prior to joining Glatfelter performing loss control duties. At each stage of his career, the nature and scope of the surveys became larger, more extensive, and detailed. Chris has been with GIG since 2015. However, he worked with VFIS for more than seven years prior as a contractor while also working for a Loss Control Survey organization, Insurance and Safety Consultants. 

Chris is a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health and a minor in Communications. He has earned designations including an Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Risk Management for Public Entities (ARM-P), and Field Service Representative (FSR) in the State of Texas and Arkansas. He also has a Loss Control Representative (LCR) accreditation in the State of Texas.
