Attach Cable Tray to Grounding System
While not intended to carry current, metal housings and cable trays can become energized, which presents risk to personnel and equipment. By bonding these elements together, they have an equipotential ground and the risk for injury or damage is reduced. It is best if each rack is directly connected to the equipment ground conductor rather than “daisy-chained” together.
