Develop Written Contracts for Standbys

A written agreement between this organization and the sponsor(s) of athletic and/or motorized events should be in place when EMS crews provide standby services.  This agreement should include language indicating whether or not the ambulance may leave the event should it be needed elsewhere to provide emergency service.  Additionally, if the sponsor should continue the event in the ambulance’s absence, the agreement should state the sponsor does so at its own risk.
